1. Who we are

ShareZeno is a file-transfer service for creating secure transfer links, sending email notifications, managing subscriptions and measuring advertising placements. For privacy questions, contact support@sharezeno.com.

2. Personal data we process

We may process account data such as name, email address, password hash, role, plan and subscription status; transfer data such as sender details, recipient emails, messages, file names, sizes, validity dates, views and download counts; billing data such as invoice status, amount, references and EuPago identifiers; email delivery logs; advertising campaign data such as views, clicks and destination URLs; and technical security data such as sessions, timestamps and server logs.

3. Uploaded files

Uploaded files are stored to provide the transfer requested by the sender. Files are retained only for the validity period selected for the transfer or until they are removed by cleanup. Expired transfers are marked as expired and the related files can be deleted automatically by cron or manually by an administrator.

4. Why we process data

We process data to provide file transfers, authenticate users, send transfer emails, notify senders about downloads, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, maintain security, provide support, manage advertising placements and comply with accounting or legal obligations.

5. Legal bases

Depending on the context, processing may be necessary to perform a contract, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate interests such as security and service operation, or rely on consent for optional cookies or marketing features.

6. Processors and third parties

Payment references are processed through EuPago. Email delivery uses the SMTP provider configured in the backoffice. Hosting, storage, backup or security providers may process data only as needed to operate the service.

7. Retention

Account and billing records are kept while the account exists and as required for legal or accounting obligations. Transfer files follow the selected validity period. Email logs, transfer statistics and advertising metrics are retained for operational reporting unless deleted or anonymised.

8. Security

ShareZeno uses protected storage outside the public web root, password hashing, CSRF protection, optional transfer passwords, expiring links and server-side download streaming. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we apply practical safeguards to reduce risk.

9. Your rights

Where applicable, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or objection to processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. To exercise rights, contact support@sharezeno.com.

10. Supervisory authority

If you are in Portugal or the European Economic Area, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Portugal, this is the CNPD.
